BOB , Or Burnbank Online Backup is a flexible yet comprehensive backup solution. The solution gives users the added peace of mind that we can offer full online (offsite) backup facilities.

BOB’s: Abilities

BOB has the ability (once configured), to automatically take a backup of all or selected data from a customer’s server. This gives further peace of mind, so that if your backup tape or media were to fail, you would know that you had an exact copy offsite so in the event of unforeseen issues, like theft or fire damaging your tapes, your data will be safely in our data centre and ready to be restored on request.

BOB also has the ability to work at certain times, i.e. after close of business, eliminating the need to share resources between your network users, and your server backing up the data. This includes plug ins for exchange & SQL servers.

If you have a particularly large backup we can even come in with an external drive, take a “snap shot” of your data bring it back to our data centre, and set the backup to run differential checks, so that when this data changes your data is backed up, again eliminating the need to put unnecessary strain on your equipment and communications during the working day.

The system automatically produces a report on a site by site basis, displaying how much data is being backed up, therefore if you notice your invoices increasing month on month, it gives you the ideal excuse to check how well your users are administering their mailboxes for example, and how much data being backed up is not actually needed.

Pricing: & Configuration

BOB has a set pricing structure and is based on ABALs (Annual Backup Licenses), which entitle your server to connect to the service.

N.B: - When comparing BOB to other offsite / online backup solutions, please keep in mind that our service is managed in house by our engineers, all data is stored securely in Burnbank's own UK data storage facilities, and our ISO 27001 accreditation tells you that we will look after your crucial data.

The service backs up all or just some of your crucial data depending on your preferences and will even back up SQL databases and Exchange mailboxes.
